Morning Routine

Today, let’s talk about one of the most if not the most important factor that determines how much you can achieve during the day!

So what is it? Well It’s about having a Morning Routine

Now what does this mean and why is it important?

Research proves that how we wake up and what we do within the first hour of waking up determines how productive we’re gonna be during the day.

Think about it if you want to achieve something then you have to make the most of your time. And time starts ticking away the moment we wake. In order to avoid feeling overwhelmed or anxious, it’s best to have a moring routine. If you develop a morning routine for yourself by that I mean something you do organically as a habit, then you can avoid so much time and energy

I hear when you say that doing this would be difficult, well forming any new habit is however, if you recognize the reason you need to do this for, it’ll become simpler.

Now each one of us is different and yet certain things are common when it comes to a healthy morning routine.

Here are 8 things to consider when you’re planning yours

1. Having a morning routine starts with the night before

What time you sleep, and your quality of sleep matters gravely. Consider writing a To-Do-List which preps your mind for the next day’s activities.

2. Waking up to your alarm clock, without hitting the snooze button

Research says that when you hit snooze alarm and go back to sleep for couple more minutes you could be reducing your productivity to upto min 4 hours due to disrupting your sleep cycle. So you may want to put that phone slightly away from your bed where you don’t have a chance to hit snooze

3. Not checking Social Media/messages as soon as you wake up

Well we are all hooked to our phones, but the first thing in the morning need not be a Social media site or even emails or texts. It can wait, I assure you nothing is that urgent or you would get a call.

4. Having some quiet time to reflect on what you want to do in life and your day

In our busy lives we often forget to ask ourselves why we are doing what we are doing. Take a breath, breathe couple of deep breaths, think about what you want to create in your life- your work maybe a huge part of your life, but you still have a life outside of it!

5. Getting some exercise

Well You know this one. You won’t feel like but if you want to be productive, release some endorphins in the morning and work out.

6. Eating healthy

What you put into your body determines your energy levels, so all that sugary stuff may seem irresistible, but it’ll only make you less productive in the long run

7. Listening to some upbeat music

Nothing like good music whatever is your jam, pump it up. And move and dance. You don’t have to be a pro, just move! Feel your groove it’ll put you in a great mood which will help you kill it during the day! Ka Boom!

8. Getting the most important job done first

Now this is a no brainer, if you do the most important thing on your to-Do-list first you’re sure to be more productive. See you have got to do it so might as well do it first and get it over with.

Okay so a quick recap- 1. Plan your night 2. Don’t snooze 3. Don’t check Social Media as soon as you wake up 4. Reflect 5. Exercise 6. Eat healthy 7. Move to your favorite beat and 8. Get the most important thing done first.

And there you have it. Plan your morning routine to become more productive. It’s simple, practical and doable!
