What it takes to reach your goals?
Today, we’re going to talk about what it takes to reach your goals
That’s right. Let’s break this down.
In my coaching experience, I’ve heard many people ask what’s the formula for reaching goals. Like what’s the magic bullet. I’d be remiss if I didn’t point out the obvious that there isn’t one!
There isn’t just one quality you need to possess or a habit you need to develop in order to reach your goals. That’s not possible. Don’t buy into the idea that by doing only 1 particular thing you’re going to achieve success.
Because anyone who’s ever succeeded in reaching their goals, had to do a lot of things in order to get the results they got.
However, it’s important to understand its not literally the number of things they had to do instead what they had to over and over again..
That’s right, it’s about doing the small things everyday repeatedly that makes all the difference.
It’s about creating positive, empowering habits for yourself, and repeating those everyday without compromising.
It’s about not letting fear, or negativity or any other excuse get in the way of you doing the things you have to do in order for you to get the results you want!
In order to reach any goal, the actions may vary but how you take those actions. How often are you repeating those seemingly small actions is what will determine the results you get.
I would suggest breaking down your actions and doing small actions repeatedly that’ll create more impact over time.
So personally, this is what I say when someone asks how to reach your goals. This right here is what I’ve learnt through my experience. When I have a goal I’d like to achieve, I break it down into number of actions and then I repeat those actions often times and that creates success.
What I’m essentially inviting you to loook at are your goals and your actions you’re taking towards them. And suggesting you to try this approach. Break down a massive seeming action into small frequent action steps you can take.
Now, let’s talk about the One Thing you can do practically.
I invite you to look at a goal you’re trying to reach and look at One Action you’re currently taking. And purposely increase the frequency of that action.
Example: You’re trying to get a promotion at work and are working really hard. Determine that One thing you’re doing to get this promotion, and challenge yourself to do it atleast 2x more than you’re doing currently. Now, it’ll seem difficult, and challenging. But remember if you really want to reach your goal, this is what it’s going to take!
Don’t overthink it, have your goal in front of you. Look at one action you’re currently taking and just amplify that. Believe me, over a period of time you’ll see the difference this makes!
